Posted under: Ladies and gentlemen (if there are any men reading this), I’ve joined the ranks on YouTube. Yes ma’am, I’ve got a channel and I’m trying to make a go of this thing.
Why?
This is why…
I spent 2 years busting my butt in nursing school, literally made myself sick with worry hoping to pass state boards…all to only work 5 years before quitting that mess to become a stay-at-home mom.
Honestly, sometimes I wonder why I even bothered with it!
Yes, I was good at it. I loved my patients and they loved me, but it was the other nurses I had a hard time with. Some of them were mean.
Very mean.
The doctors were too, some of them.
So, with my education and all the fancy things I used to know how to do, now I sit at home and yell things like:
“Don’t smell your sister’s butt!”
or
“Step away from the toilet!”
or
“No, ice cream and fruit snacks do not count as a healthy breakfast.”
or
“Don’t eat the dog food!”
Not exactly brain stimulating, is it?
For the last couple of years, I’ve worked as a freelance writer and have learned so much during that time on all sorts of subjects! I was expanding my mind, earning an income and felt useful most of the time! If I had a bill to pay, I knew how many articles I had to write before the deadline so I’d have the money the next week. Unfortunately, that came to an end so I decided to write about the stuff I want to write about. Hence, the birth of this website.
But I want to do more. There are so many people out there with successful YouTube channels, that I think, surely I can be one of them. It can’t be that hard. Certainly, judging by the popularity some people have with poor lighting, video quality and personality, surely I can make it work!
I have a lot to share and it seems like video is a good way to get my voice out there, literally. Not everyone likes to read, so there are probably plenty of people who will never even read this.
